If your dog is an important part of the family, they can fit right into your Surf City USA® vacation without any trouble! Huntington Beach provides amenities for owners and pets alike.
Dog Beach, located on Pacific Coast Highway between 21st Street and Seapoint Street, offers a stretch of beach where your pet is free to roam without a leash. Open from 5 a.m. 10 p.m., you can frolic in the surf with your canine pal and work on your tan at the same time.
Huntington Central Park is home to Dog Park, just off Edwards Street on Inlet Drive near Lake Huntington. Dog Park has separate fenced sections for small and large dogs, with amenities including benches, tables and water. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. Parking and entry are free, but donations are welcome.
If you're looking for a hotel that accepts pets, look no further. The Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort, Pacific View Inn & Suites and Extended Stay all have pet options; call the hotels for fees and regulations.
Pet needs are met at every turn, including a complete "everything you need for your pet" at Pet Supply in the Seacliff Shopping Center. At Park Bench Cafe, dogs can eat at the same table as their owners with their own Canine Cuisine menu. Downtown Huntington Beach is pet-friendly for dogs on a leash.
